Akkurate’s marketing register

Purpose and basis of the processing of personal data

The register is used for marketing products and services and for organizing surveys, campaigns and competitions. The information in the register is used for direct marketing if the customer has given his/her consent.

The information content contained in the register may vary from user to user. The following user information can be entered in the register:

  • email address
  • name
  • company name

Regular sources of information

The register is compiled from Akkurate’s newsletter subscriptions

  • via the newsletter subscription form on the akkurate.fi website
  • newsletter subscription forms completed at trade fairs
  • lottery tickets filled in at events, for which the participant has ticked ‘Subscribe to the newsletter’

No personally identifiable information is collected about users of akkurate.fi website. When visiting the website, a user cookie may be placed in user’s browser that allows the targeted Akkurate advertising when user visits other sites that partner with Google. Showing Google display ads can be controlled or disabled by using the Ads Preferences Manager at http://google.com/ads/preferences

Regular disclosures

The controller doesn’t disclose the information it collects to third parties, except to the processor of personal data related to newsletters (The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a Mailchimp). Data may be processed outside the EU.

Data retention period

The data will be kept in the register until the data subject requests the deletion of the data.

Deletion of data

The data will be deleted at the customer’s request. All marketing messages sent to registrants include a link that allows them to unsubscribe from the newsletter. Upon cancellation, the data of the registrant will be deleted from the register. Deletion of data may also be requested by contacting the controller with the contact details above.

Registry security principles

The information in the register will be kept confidential. The data network of the personal data processor and the equipment on which the register is located are protected by a firewall and other necessary technical measures. The controller of personal data is responsible for the maintenance, protection, data security and storage of data processing, as well as for the exercise of the right of inspection.
